As a glasses wearer myself, I always find it hard carrying a pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses with me every time I go outside. Maybe because I’m clumsy, but I seem to always misplace one or the other. This all changed when I discovered the beauty of photochromic lenses. You may be wondering, what are photochromic lenses?
Photochromic lenses, sometimes referred to as light-adaptive lenses or transition lenses, are lenses that seamlessly switch between clear and dark (think glasses into sunglasses and vice versa). This transitioning effect is a result of embedding small molecules in the lenses that react to UV radiation. The lenses will darken when exposed to UV radiation, such as the sun, and return to its clear state when back in doors.
Another decent alternative is clip-on glasses. Clip-ons have recently made a comeback in popularity. If you like these styles check out the brand-new Flip and Muti glasses.
