What are anti-reflective lenses?

Anti-reflective coating (AR coating) is an extremely thin layer that can be added to any eyeglasses that helps eliminates glare from reflecting directly into your eyes. AR coating allows light to pass through the lens rather than against it, allowing for a better visual performance. The eliminated refractions are extremely beneficial – especially when driving at night. The AR coating also provides a nearly invisible look for your lenses, ensuring others can see your eyes and facial expressions more clearly. Lastly, since AR coatings help eliminate glare, the sharper vision will provide greater comfort during prolonged computer use.

With premium coatings, surface treatment can be applied such as hydrophobic and oleophobic elements that help repel water and oil respectively. AR coatings come with pretty much every Dualens' lenses and are a great addition to your favorite pair of glasses.

Note: When cleaning your lenses with an AR coating, make sure you are using approved cleaning solution, as harsh chemicals may damage the AR coating.
